Trina is a quiet, reserved music teacher
at an inner-city elementary school. Because of the traumatic events of her
childhood, she’s skittish of people in general, but men especially frighten
her. However, when Lucca Ellis appears in her life, he refuses to take no for
an answer. Will he be able to help her overcome the past that has kept her a
prisoner for over eight years?
Kat is a woman scorned and out for
revenge. Wronged by the men in her life, she thrives on belittling and
dominating all men that she comes in contact with. Her end goal is to make the
one man, the one who stole her life away as a child, pay for his actions, and
she doesn’t care who she has to destroy to get there.
These two lives that both thrive on
control, were never supposed to overlap, but anything can happen… When the Sun Goes Down.
This book was a far cry from Erin Noelle’s cookie cutter
past. She has grown as an author and this book feels more grown up. She
kicked up the spice, improved her storyline and added a whole bunch of
twist and turns.
I couldn’t read fast enough. I felt like I was dying a slow torturous
death. I thought I knew where this book was going to go. I thought I had
it all figured out, but I didn’t. I swore, screamed, kicked and even
threw my kindle. Between Kat, Trina, Leo and Lucca my head was
spinning!
In this dual POV you meet Trina and Kat.
Kat was a fiesta girl who only puts her own needs first. She's a user
who is only looking out for herself. She uses guys, flips their worlds
upside down and then leaves them high and dry. She only has one person
who is a constant in her life, Leo, and she even uses him for her own
needs.
Trina is the pure music teacher. She's trapped in her own bubble with no
life, no friends and likes it that way. She believes, if no one gets
close enough, no one can ask questions. Slowly Lucca, a new fixture at
her job, weasels his way into her life though. Does she let him in or
keep him a far like she does everyone else?
When the Sun goes Down is a must read. It was not like anything else I
have read. Erin Noelle has definitely thought outside of the box and
that is a good thing.
I am hoping the story isn’t over and we get more from them. I want to
see what happens when the story ends. I want to know where their lives
have taken them.
