*~* Synopsis *~*

With college graduation looming, three childhood friends vow to make spring break their last blast of pure fun. But at least one of them didn’t count on such incredible heat…

Layla Sharpe is definitely more math ninja than bikini babe, and her future has been calculated with razor precision. Convinced to let loose over spring break, Layla is finally ready to party—until her car breaks down halfway to her destination, leaving her stranded in Georgia with a mouthwateringly hot pool shark. She knows more than enough about angles to learn the game, but this week she wants him to appreciate her curves…

Phin Marks has never met a girl like Layla. She’s more Star Wars geek than seductress, and when he offers her a place to stay while her car is in the shop, he’s counting on the attraction between them to set the nights ablaze, no strings attached. But every moment he spends with Layla makes it harder to let her go. Can he persuade her to gamble in the most dangerous way possible…on forever?

*~* Review *~*

This book is not what I expected but was pleasantly surprised.

Layla is the nerdy college student about to graduate and start her life in a couple months. Spring break is upon her and good news sparks a spring break trip to Texas with her friends. Well things didn't go quite as planned. I enjoyed reading about Layla's adventures, friends, and sexy time.. She is very passionate, smart, and a bit insecure in some ways but that never stopped her from moving forward and achieving her goals.

Phin was once a gypsy that is now a pool shark. Playing at local bars and making a bit of money on the side has helped to keep himself well practiced in pool so he'll be ready for the tournament in Vegas. He is very different from most guys so I enjoyed reading about his side of things. Phin has had a difficult life since leaving his family behind to live a normal life on his own.

Shannyn did a really good job keeping me interested and wanting more. I've never read a book involving the characters playing pool in a professional manner. I really look forward to reading the others. Four stripped stars have been granted :)

*~* Synopsis *~*

Spring break is supposed to be a week of fun in the sun for three childhood friends about to graduate from college. But one of them is ready to get her game on somewhere else…

Charlie Castle is an expert archer and a fierce warrior—in her favorite video game, anyway. But college life was a program she couldn't quite master. To land a cybertech job without a degree, she's entering a "hackfest" over spring break—where she also hopes to meet the sweet gamer who's been flirting with her online. Instead, she runs into the hot guy who walked away years ago, and can't fight the desire that comes rushing back.

Jonah Best has never gotten over Charlie, whose kisses were always as deliciously creative as her coding. But now that they're face to face again, he doesn't know how to admit that her online admirer is really him—or how to convince her that he's offering her a job for her incredible skills, not her sex appeal. Can Jonah cut through their communication glitches and persuade Charlie that the next level up for them should be forever?

*~* My Review *~*

Yet another captivating nerdy story :)

Charlie is a sexy gamer, hacker and nerdy comicon lover. She loves everything that envelopes the cons and the action in it. She loves playing a game that is similar to World of Warcraft and she finds a friend while playing. They have kept each other company over the last couple years and hopes to some day meet him. What I loved about her character is that she is so smart but doesn't flaunt it. Will she ever be able to find what she truly loves?

Jonah Best is a gamer, hacker, and Charlies ex. They had a fling a few years ago but he can't forget her. They end up running into each other at a Con and he just can't let her go again. He tries everything he can to keep her close and it works. I really loved his character because he is persistent and will stop at nothing to get her back. But will their past keep them from finding happiness?

Again I really didn't know how I was gonna feel about this book but I really enjoyed it. It was a quick read and super hot sex!! Four stars have been granted :)

Words are funny things.

Their meaning, the pictures they paint in the minds of those that hear them: they’re not always the same and to me at least, that makes them meaningless.

Take for instance the phrase ‘black widow’. Those words conjure the image of a spider, an eight-legged creature with the red imprint of an hourglass on its abdomen.

However, instead of speaking of an arachnid, of the resident of a spindly and dew-laden web, the people who whisper those words are talking about something much different.

They’re talking about me.

From what I’m told, I’m called the Black Widow because no man I’ve ever loved has survived.

Yet, I have no memory of any of it.

My new home leads me to the definition of another vague and meaningless word.

It’s a place where I’m supposed to seek refuge.

A place of retreat and security.

It’s a place where I’m supposed to be kept safe because I’m sick.

But the definition for this place is wrong and the word becomes meaningless when you’re tucked away and made silent by drugs and pretty white jackets.

My name is Alexandra Sutton and this is the story of what happened when I was imprisoned inside an Asylum.

*~* Synopsis *~*

Life ran by faster than I could blink it seemed. So many tears were shed, pain felt, and loneliness consumed. Now here it is another day that I don’t feel. Another day that I don’t live. Another day that I will wish I could have back.
Over the course of my life, I’ve learned a few things; disappointment, anger, loss… Loss I understood like no one else could possibly understand. But most of all, I learned that I can only rely on myself.
Life is not really what I have. It’s more of an existence. For so long, I longed for nothing, but to make it through a day. Then I meet River Monroe. Suddenly, thoughts I’ve never dared to think about were all that was on my mind.
My name is Kim Rose. This is my story on how one impulse turned my world upside down and inside out. For the first time in a long time, I was Feeling the Moment and it just might destroy me.

*~* Review *~*

Feeling The Moment truly makes you feel EVERY moment.

Kim is such an amazing character because she's so strong and courageous. I loved hearing her story and the battles she's overcome. Between losing her parents at such a young age and living on the streets she has truly learned how to keep her walls up. Although she has learned to move past what she has done to survive it still lurks where no one but her can see.

River was also an amazing character because he is a protector and always takes all responsibility even if it's not his to bare. I really fell for this hunk because no matter his past he's always moving towards his future. Whether his future is his billion dollar company, his siblings, or the love he finds in the most unsuspecting place.

In this book you truly feel every bump in the road, and every curve. P.J. Makes you feel all the emotions the characters feel and then some. I have granted five tear jerking stars :)

About the Author

Picture1[1]

My name is Delisa Lynn, I grew up in Columbus Ohio. I’m currently residing in Western New York, where I work as a Medical Assistant. I love music, all generations, I do have a soft spot for country and 80’s hair bands. My favorite season is fall, I love the weather that time of the year, watching the leaves change and most of all being able to watch football. Go Bucks!! I am also a 49ers fan and New York Yankees fan. My favorite color is pink, not baby pink hot pink. I’m married to my high school sweetheart, we’ve been together going on nineteen years, sometimes I can’t stand him but I wouldn’t trade him for the world. I love you Jay. Our baby is a five year old spoiled Yorki named Sophie and yes she thinks she is human.
I’ve always had a passion for reading and writing. I have very vivid imagination and have always felt I should express it in writing. But I took a different career path, I worked in retail photography for sixteen years. Then I chose to work in the medical field. Last year, I decided I was going to follow my dream and write a novel. I never imagined it would turn into a series with eight books. I’m so glad it did, because I love it. When I’m not writing you can find me snuggled with my hubby watching a movie, or cuddled in the corner of the couch with my fur baby reading.
I hope you all enjoy reading my books as much as I did writing them.

To make matters worse, influences outside my control have taken hold and are shattering my perfect world.

But some things are worth fighting for.

Dreams can come true and I’ll do everything in my power to make them happen. But dreams can also be smashed into tiny pieces, and no matter how hard we fight or how hard we wish for something to be, sometimes with the hand we’ve been dealt, we can never win.
