Blog Tour & Giveaway: I Want It That Way by Ann Aguirre

PURCHASE ON AMAZON

Nadia Conrad has big dreams, and she’s determined to make them come true. But between maintaining her college scholarship and working at the local day care to support herself, dating’s the last thing on her mind. Then she moves into a new apartment and meets the taciturn yet irresistible guy in 1B….

Daniel Tyler has grown up too fast. Becoming a single dad at twenty turned his life upside down—and brought him heartache he can’t risk again. Now, as he raises his four-year-old son while balancing a full-time construction management job and night classes, the last thing he wants is noisy students living in the apartment upstairs. But one night, Nadia’s and Ty’s paths cross, and soon they can’t stay away from each other.

The timing is all wrong—but love happens when it happens. And you can’t know what you truly need until you stand to lose it.

"A tender, sweet, and sexy story about how life—and falling in love—can never be planned."
—Jennifer L. Armentrout, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Wait for You

HMM…I have never been so mixed up over a book before. I really don’t know how I feel about this book. I keep going back and forth on whether I loved it or hated it.

What I didn’t like about this book:

The writing was choppy. One minute they are having a hot and heavy conversation in his living room, and the next page she is in her apartment hanging out on the couch with her roommates. I felt like I was missing something in between.

The book also dragged on and was mildly boring in other parts. I felt like if it wasn’t a scene where Nadia and Daniel interacted directly, then it was unneeded fillers.

What I liked about this book:

Nadia and Daniel had undeniable chemistry. They had a strong bond right from the second they meet. Their interactions were full of sexual and emotional tension. While both characters tried to deny it, the reader can see it clear as day.

The biggest positive of this book was…..Daniel! I have a weakness for hot ginger guys, and this book made it worse. Daniel is by far the sexiest ginger EVER. Sure his personality was a big roller coaster ride of emotions, but his six pack definitely made up for it.

If you like NA books, then this book is for you. Plus her title is a Backstreet Boys song…it can’t be that bad. Can it?
